Mitsubishi Now Leasing i Electric For $249 Per Month:

Consumers can now lease a base-level 2012 Mitsubishi i ES equipped with the Quick Charge Package for $249 per month.

Mitsubishi Motors North America has decided to follow the path of the Chevy Volt and Nissan LEAF by offering a competitive lease rate on its electric Mitsubishi i.
Backed by Ally Financial, consumers can currently lease a base-level 2012 Mitsubishi i ES for $249 per month. At that price, Mitsubishi throws in the Quick Charge Package—a $700 option package that includes a DC quick-charge port, battery warming system and heated sideview mirrors.
This special 36-month lease offer is only available for a limited time and requires a down payment of $3,498, which works out to a total cost of roughly $12,462 over the life of the lease. That seems reasonable considering that the MSRP for the Mitsubishi i ES with the Quick Charge Package costs $30,675.
Through May of this year, Mitsubishi has reported a very modest 300 sales of the i in 2012.
