EVs and Smart Grid: A policy brief from the International Transport Forum (ITF) suggests that electric vehicles (EV) present a potential avenue for low-carbon transport but that widespread adoption of will lead to greater consumption of electricity. As a result electricity systems will need to be reconfigured to meet EV needs to prevent an increased reliance on fossil fuels.
