Those gents over at Autocar are revving up that Mercedes-Benz C-Class hybrid rumormill again. This time around, Autocar claims that hybrid technology will land in virtually every model in the 2013-2014 C-Class lineup.

According to Autocar's inside source, the next-gen C-Class is being developed to meet demanding CO2 targets and, as such, hybrid power is expected to sweep across much of the model line. Sure, there will be some diesel-engined C-Class models and even a couple of gassers, but the availability of hybrid powertrains may outnumber the C-Class' selection of conventional engines.

Word is that Mercedes-Benz is looking to introduce hybridized versions of its E- and S-Class vehicles too. Reports indicate that those hybrid models will show up in Europe sometime in 2013 and arrive in U.S. showrooms six months after that.
