Okay Nissan, we get it: partnerships promote adoption of electric vehicles (EVs). Your drive to sign agreements with anyone and everyone has us convinced that you intend to use the power of numbers to push EV adoption across the U.S. and around the globe. With a list that stands at more than 80 strong, your EV initiatives reach out to include some unusually remote locations as well. Well done.

With all this said, it's time to add the teeming city of Atlanta to the automaker's book full of collaborative deals. Nissan entered an agreement with the Clean Cities' Atlanta (CC-A) chapter - a coalition of government agencies, utilities, public interest groups and fleets that advance the use of alternative energy - to promote EVs and an associated charging network. Nissan and the CC-A will collaborate on plans to promote, deploy and maintain a widespread charging infrastructure throughout the Atlanta area. The Nissan Leaf will whiz into the state of Georgia in 2011.
