During the upcoming Detroit Auto Show, the 15th Annual Urban Wheel Awards will be given out by Decisive Media. This year, Decisive will be honoring four car companies 'for leadership in environmental and fuel-efficient technology.' None of the four are domestics. Instead, the awards will go to Subaru, Honda, Nissan and Toyota. Specifically, the companies will be rewarded for:- Subaru: 'Greenest Manufacturing Plant in America.'
- Honda: 'Greenest Car Lineup.'
- Nissan: 'Most Practical Zero Emissions Product' (for the Leaf).
- Toyota: 'Worldwide Leadership in Hybrid Technology.'
Not exactly surprising, is it? Decisive will also name the Urban Green Vehicle of the Year. The three finalists include the Nissan Leaf, the Honda CR-Z and the Volkswagen Jetta TDI. Oh, the tension.
