President Bill Clinton recently made a public request for vehicles to support recovery efforts in Haiti. We’re thrilled the General Motors Foundation could answer his call with the donation of 30 GMC Sierra trucks to help transport supplies to survivors.
On Wednesday February 3, two of the trucks arrived in Miami and were presented at an NFL Little Haiti Outreach Event held at the Sant La Haitian Neighborhood Center.
Over the course of the next week or so, a number of Florida GMC dealers will encourage donations from their communities to help fill the 30 trucks with much-needed tents and tarps to accompany the trucks on their journey to the Caribbean nation.
The donation of the trucks is a contribution from the General Motors Foundation GM Global Aid program. For more information, please click here.
On behalf of the GM Foundation, thank you to all who have contributed.
